RSA Start of Period Normal Tax Notification

During the Start of Period process, we will check whether PAYE for one or more employees is being calculated by means of the ‘normal’ tax calculation instead of the ‘average’ tax calculation.

 

NOTE:

This calculation is only intended for specific scenarios.

 

Sage does not recommend this calculation if the remuneration of an employee fluctuates.

 

After evaluation of the circumstances, the calculation used is done so at your own risk.

 

We make mention of this process before your Start of Period selection screens.

 

If employees are found that have PAYE calculated by means of the normal tax calculation, a list will be printed to assist with your corrections and a message will display to determine whether you want to continue with the Start of Period at this point or not.

 

Should no negative YTD+ values (existing validation) nor normal tax calculations be found, the Start of Period process will continue without any printing or messages.
